How much does Vindigo 2.0 cost?
We offer two subscription types: annual
and monthly. Annual subscriptions costs $24.95 per year
and monthly subscriptions cost $3.50 per month. Your
subscription includes unlimited access to all cities,
and free updates every time you sync your Palm OS device.
What happened to the old, free version
of Vindigo?
In the two years since we launched
the original version of Vindigo, we've received thousands
of requests from our users for new content, features,
and cities. And many of you have told us that you'd
be prepared to pay to receive these services. Rather
than continue to compromise on quality, we've decided
to discontinue our existing service, and to offer Vindigo
2.0, a new, high-quality, comprehensive service to paying
subscribers, and a very limited free service called
Vindigo Lite to our occasional users.
What new features and content does
Vindigo 2.0 offer?
- Ratings for over 10,000 restaurants in America,
based on the votes of Vindigo users
- Professional reviews for up to 50% more restaurants
than the current version
- New content partners, including Shecky's outstanding
nightlife guides for New York, Chicago, and LA, and
Metacritic's summaries of movie reviews from the country's
leading critics
- New city coverage: Brooklyn, Pasadena, San Jose,
Orlando
- Times and venues for live music shows all over
the city, from piano bars to concert halls
- Details on temporary and permanent exhibitions at
every major museum and gallery
- Rich, detailed maps of every city, in color if your
device supports it
- Essential services: ATMS, gas stations, and parking
lots near you
- A redesigned user interface that puts all this information
at your fingertips (literally)
What happened to Zagat content?
At this time, we are not able to offer
Zagat content to our users at a price that most people
are willing to pay, based on an extensive consumer survey.
What new cities, content, and features
will you be adding to Vindigo 2.0 in the coming months?
We do not announce new content, new
features, or new cities until they are ready to launch.
To request new cities, click
here. To request new content and features, or support
for a type of phone or handheld computer that we do
not currently offer, click

What is Vindigo Lite?
If you decide not to buy Vindigo 2.0
after your 30-day
free trial, you still get to keep Vindigo Lite.
Vindigo Lite is a very limited version of Vindigo 2.0
that contains only names and addresses of some leading
restaurants in one city of your choice, as well as movie
showtimes. For example, Vindigo 2.0 lists over 3,000
restaurants, but Vindigo Lite contains only 100, without
reviews or ratings. In addition, you cannot search for
listings by distance from you or get directions or a
map. We believe that Vindigo Lite is still better than
any free alternative to Vindigo 2.0; if you disagree,
let us know.
Which cities is Vindigo planning
to offer in the future?
We do not announce new content, new
features, or new cities until they are ready to launch,
but we do plan to add several cities to Vindigo 2.0
in 2002. To request new cities, click
here. To request new content, new features, or support
for a type of phone or handheld computer that we do
not currently offer, click
