Partners, Features and User Interface
NEW YORK, Mar. 18, 2002 - Vindigo®,
the leading developer of personal navigation applications for mobile
devices, today introduced Vindigo 2.0, the first major upgrade to
the company's award-winning consumer service. Based on user feedback,
the service has been expanded to include new features such as music
and museum listings, broader geographic coverage and a wider selection
of brand-name content partners. Vindigo 2.0 is available for $24.95
a year (includes all cities) or $19.95 for consumers with Palm Powered™
devices who subscribe before March 31. Current Vindigo users will
automatically receive a free, 30-day trial of Vindigo 2.0 the next

names and addresses listings of major restaurants for one city,
plus movie show times.
Today, over 500,000 people use the Vindigo service on Palm Powered™
devices, Pocket PC handheld computers, and Internet-enabled cell

for, consumers get information about the best and closest places
to eat, shop and play. With the launch of Vindigo 2.0, consumers
now have instant access to more information than ever before, including:
- Music -- Times and venues for musical
performances, from rock bands to classical concerts
- Museums -- Details on temporary and permanent
exhibits at local museums
- Services -- Urban essentials such as parking
lots, police stations, banks, and gas stations
- Vindigo Votes -- Ability to search for
restaurants based on ratings from other Vindigo users
- Detailed Maps -- Includes pan and zoom
functionality, in full color where supported
"Since we launched the Vindigo service two
years ago, we've received thousands of requests and suggestions
for additional content and features," said Jason Devitt, chief executive

responding by delivering the most powerful and comprehensive personal
navigation application available anywhere."

areas including Brooklyn, Orlando, Pasadena and San Jose. Version
