NEW YORK, Oct. 7, 2002 - Vindigo, the leading
provider of personal navigation services for wireless and mobile
devices, today announces continued support for the Palm family of
handhelds including the new Palm™ Zire™, (see separate announcement
from Palm, Inc.), along with a wealth of new content and support
for additional U.S. markets. Zire handheld users join other Palm
Powered™ handheld users who employ Vindigo to quickly and easily
find information on where to eat, shop and play in over 35 U.S.
markets and London.
Vindigo 2.0 is the perfect complement to the Palm Zire handheld
- both offer users simple, convenient access to valuable information
at an affordable price. Vindigo 2.0 for Palm Powered handheld devices
is available for download from www.vindigo.com for $3.50 per month
or $24.95 for an annual subscription. New users can download a 30-day
trial at no charge.

Vindigo continues to enhance its service with new functionality
and categories of content, as well as greater geographic support.
Vindigo 2.0 is a treasure chest of information from leading content
providers, which has grown to include local weather from Custom
Weather and public restrooms courtesy of The Bathroom Diaries. Now
Vindigo 2.0 users can check the local weather, in any supported
city, from the Vindigo home screen or view the forecast for the
next few days with a tap of the stylus.
Vindigo added public restroom information for Baltimore, Chicago,
New York City, Portland, Ore., and San Francisco. Users can search
for bathrooms based on location, or specifics such as changing tables,
wheelchair access or cleanliness. They can even locate restrooms
known for celebrity sightings - after all, when nature calls, even
famous people have to answer.
Users also have the ability to enter an address and pinpoint its
specific location - saving valuable time when heading to a destination.
By tapping the "directions" button on the Vindigo home screen, users
can enter an address and view the location on a map. In addition,
Vindigo provides cross streets and directions to the destination.
Vindigo continues to expand its ever-growing geographical reach
with the addition of 14 new markets:

information about services such as the location of the closest ATMs,
gas stations, parking garages and police stations. Vindigo 2.0 comes
complete with ratings and reviews from brand-name content providers,
maps and directions to any listing.
