Vindigo 2.0 Subscription Card Now Available at Retail Stores

Consumers Gain More Payment Options for Vindigo's Local Information Service

NEW YORK, April. 1, 2003 - Vindigo, a leading developer and publisher of consumer services for wireless phones and handheld devices, today introduced the equivalent of a pre-paid phone card for Vindigo 2.0, its award-winning, local information service. Consumers can purchase the Vindigo 2.0 Subscription Card at retail stores through the new AT&T PrePaid Web CentsSM Service (see separate announcement from AT&T). Three- and six-month subscription cards will be available for $9.99 and $16.99, respectively, from thousands of participating retail stores, including Speedway SuperAmerica LLC.

With AT&T PrePaid Web Cents Service, Vindigo now offers customers more payment options for purchasing its service. People can continue using a credit card to buy content directly from Vindigo, or they can pre-pay for the service at a retail outlet. The Vindigo 2.0 Subscription Card will be displayed alongside handheld devices or at checkout stands, making it easier for people to buy Vindigo 2.0 at the same time they buy a Palm OS or Pocket PC device. Gift-giving is also easier because consumers now have something tangible to wrap in a box or seal in an envelope.

To download Vindigo 2.0's wealth of information using a subscription card, consumers simply visit Vindigo's Web site at www.vindigo.com/card or the AT&T PrePaid Web Cents Service site at www.webcents.att.com where they enter their card's unique serial number and PIN in place of a credit card number.

"Vindigo is one of the first content providers to take advantage of our new AT&T PrePaid Web Cents Service," said Mark Evans, vice president of AT&T PrePaid Services. "This program gives people the flexibility they've wanted for purchasing content over the Internet or in advance. AT&T PrePaid Web Cents Service also expands the market reach of its content providers, enabling companies like Vindigo to connect with more consumers in a new venue."

Vindigo 2.0 users can access local entertainment information including movie reviews and show times, restaurant reviews, bar locations and museum offerings. Vindigo 2.0 also includes information about the closest ATMs, gas stations, parking garages, police stations, and even public restrooms. The comprehensive service offers ratings and reviews from brand-name content providers, as well as maps and directions to any listing. Vindigo 2.0 lets users instantly gain a wide array of information about where to eat, shop and play in more than 60 major U.S. markets.

"Vindigo 2.0 has long enjoyed enthusiastic word-of-mouth referrals, but until now, we had no way to reach people in stores. With this new subscription card, consumers will learn about Vindigo 2.0 when they buy their handheld device, enabling us to reach them at the crucial point-of-sale," said Jason Devitt, chief executive officer of Vindigo. "AT&T PrePaid Web Cents Service is a great tool for online content providers to reach consumers in an offline environment."
